I do believe Gary is getting the last laugh; especially after today. A triple crown race win and booting home a 24-1 shot in a pretty salty Grade II Dixie Stakes.

Though he was going through a bit of a slump since moving to Ky. after the Santa Anita meet. Though in his defense, he wasn't getting a lot of good horses.

Regards,
Shergar

He's not that old...
He's healthier now than before (lost weight in a healthy way)
He's hungry.

Oh, then there's experience. Much of this win was the savvy ride of GS.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.

The great riders never lose that feel, that touch born of experience and when the chance comes they have the confidence to take it and run with it. What a refreshing story in a industry plagued by the negatives. To my delight it is turning out to be one of the most interesting, feel good, triple crown contests for many years. Let's go to the Belmont and enjoy!
