The TB Remount sires were the best thing that could have happened to the average working ranch horse of 100 years ago. The perception that the TB is generally unsuitable for cattle work is a recent one, an artifact of the anti-TB faction among the early AQHA directorship.

As I used to tell a QH friend of mine...'all the really good QHs are 3/4 TB'. ;)

It surprised me that they introduce horses to cattle the same way my Queensland got introduced to sheep. The trainers chuckle and the horse's nicker were what made me watch that clip over and over.
