Seasons Greetings and A Happy Healthy New Year

Postby TJ » Mon Dec 23, 2013 2:07 pm

Just wanted to take a moment to wish all the posters on the PQ forum Seasons Greetings and the best of luck in the New Year. I'd like to post this little Christmas Story starring Native Dancer at the time of his death, November 16, 1967....while he waits in the holding pen to heaven, for the approval to enter from the "Big Guy". Wait till you see who the big guy turns out to be:>) TJ

No thanks necessary, this always was a forum for horse enthusiasts and this is a unique story incorporating the holiday season with horse racing history. I was happy to post it and glad to see so many of you enjoyed it. TJ

Since many of you enjoyed that short story I thought I'd post this real life video about a courageous 92 year old man employed in the sport of horse racing. There are so many stories like this in racing, yet we seldom get a chance to see or hear about them. This happened in March of 2011...it was brought to life again after he recently got to meet the shy little girl whose path crossed with her angel on earth, John Shear....that fateful day at Santa Anita. Mr. Shear is alive and well, still working at Santa Anita. You'll want to watch this more then once:>)TJ
