Thanks, TJ, for this heads up, especially for the Noonan piece.

Hi Patuxet,
Seems racing can't have a good day without something tarnishing it's image or those involved in training or ownership. When we consider the Zayat lawsuit dropped on a technicality, the unscrupulous trainers who try to press the drug rules to the limit and these political payoff jobs leading to scandal in just 3 short years of govt. oversight of the NYRA....they just keep shooting themselves in the foot. If it isn't PETA, it's Politics, if it isn't either of these...it's honesty or integrity of those involved in putting on the show, always something. The RMTC rules should take effect at a very fast pace now nationwide, after the politicians stepped aside in Florida and the bill passed fat free. What's even sadder is Washington's political parties can't agree on anything....except these two Republican and Democrats who agree to eliminate wagering on most horse racing http://www.paulickreport.com/news/the-b ... -wagering/ . They really have a handle on the industry....where do they get the purse money if they eliminate betting on the races? And the Feds, along with the blue-blood Jockey Club want to takeover racing all together, this fact triggered the pro govt. side of the argument to move ahead of the Fl. State legislature, before they lose what they are in favor of....govt. takeover.. http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... regulation .. TJ

Yes, it all seems to be spiraling downward. Lord knows where it will end. The final straw for me this season is the crass prospect of seeing AP surrounded by a gaggle of "Monster Girls". And we thought the Hansen bimbos were tacky! Oy vey!
