Akoda

Postby SarahP » Tue Apr 05, 2005 3:29 am

My horse's sire is a Thoroughbred by Seattle Slew, named Akoda (Not sure if this is the registered name).
This is all I know about the horse and because of that, it is proving difficult to find any information on him. I somehow doubt anyone will be able to find anything on him from searches, but if anyone knows anything it would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

Someone is changing the breed and gender of horses inquired about on the all breed forum. :x The day before yesterday Akoda was listed as a Tb Horse.

If he was listed as a TB horse, that may have been the one im looking for.
Gah hopefully it will get changed back?

Not 100% certain, but I don't think Seattle Slew ever covered any non-TB's other than *maybe* a test mare when he first went to stud. Quite a few of his sons have covered other breeds, tho'.

Tell us how old your horse is, so we can figure a ballpark birthyear for the sire.

The closest thing to "Akoda" is Seattle Slew's son Ikari. He stood in Texas until his death a couple of years ago.

According to the American Produce Record 2003 CD, there is no registered Thoroughbred in the United States named "Akoda" so if there was one listed that way it was an error. Without sire/dam information or more to go on there is no way to trace the horse.
