Albert the Great

Any opinions on Albert the Great as a sire? Conformation? Value at 10K? Potential to sire a big horse?

Sorry nobody's answered you yet. Albert the Great is a son of Go for Gin, and was a terrific racehorse. However, he is not likely to be an early commercial success, as he will likely beget late-blooming runners who won't shine in the yearling or weanling sales. His sire was not popular commercially after his initial marketing buzz, and did not succeed as a sire of stakes winners. I love the pedigree and appearance of Albert, and think he's a good choice for a breed-to-race sire prospect. All quarters of his pedigree are tough and talented.

Henthorn- Thank you for the information-I love his pedigree and appearance as well. I'm touring Three Chimneys the day before the Derby to check him out and sign the contract.
