Looks like there's a whole second crew of people who post and respond to each other on the old Pedigree forum board, despite invites to use this new board. Why, I wonder? What gives? Can someone ask miles to close/lock the old board to new posts? Should someone? Wierd.

It's because people don't read before they 'speak'. We only see what is directly in front of us (great marketing tool to manipulate BTW) and they will never see a subject heading of "this forum isn't in use" because they aren't looking for it.

What I'm finding funny about the whole thing is, aside from the 1-3 new threads (and what is with the india photography crap ... stupid bots) they are all responding to posts that are anywhere from 6 months to a year old, which tells you no one bothers to look at dates either. Personally, if the last post on a thread is more than 2 days old, I tend not to bother responding at all.

I'm trying to go in about once a week and post the "this forum no longer in use" message behind any new posts ... it's all being ignored though.

I'm still trying to figure out how they are getting there in the first place. They must have a direct bookmark to the old BBS, instead of bookmarking the site and using the message board hyperlink (which is what I do)

Yeah, BJL, I 've seen that one, too, (delmar) and I don't know about that one, it seems separate (I think, haven't looked too hard) from our "old" board. The old one is only available by an old link if you saved it. Knowing google, though, you can probably get the old link from the right kind of google, who knows. Sam, I've been in and posted "come join the rest of us" posts, too, and its pretty much ignored. Those posting to really old threads, too - that's wierd! They ask questions of the old poster like they might answer. It oughta be shut down for posting, but I guess that's just going to have to wait til Mile's attention comes round again.
