And another for ya, Jorge - not a sabino, but a dark bay with a white (or pale blonde, it's hard to tell) tail! Would the rabicano gene cause that?

Thank you very much to both for the great watch.

01. DRESSED TO DANCE is a clear sabino due mainly to her super sabino sire Racey Remarque. Good case.

02. Oh my goodness, very rare to see that Capote--Smart Catch (Conquistador Cielo) brown filly with a black mane but a flaxen tail on the recent Keeneland Sales (Hip 748).

Thank you very much for these sabinos.

Blessings,

Jorge

Dear Sandi,

Thank you very much for the wonderful efforts you always put in identifying many important and interesting sabinos. I want to reiterate how much I esteem your efforts.

Dear Lucy,

Thank you very much because you always remember my search for sabinos and when you come up with one individual its always a valuable one. I too consider your suggestions of great importance.

Best regards and Blessings to both,

Jorge :D

Dear Jorge:
This isn't a sabino, but this is also a funky color thread. I found a foal on this page, and she looks brown and gray at the same time. Here's the page she was on: http://www.margauxfarm.com/foals.asp You'll have to scroll down, but it's the filly born 5-3-04. I don't know about foals blowing their baby coats and turning a different color altogether, but maybe that's what she's doing. What do you think? Or is this a gray filly that rolled in something?

Dear Kari,

Thank you very much for your valuable watch. It seems that we are dealing with interesting gray foals coming gray lineages. But wait, better yet, you just provided me an even better reference! Take a look to the Cryptoclearance--I Fooled Em colt foaled on March 8. His picture is photo number circa 51. Around four photos earlier there is also another interesting foal with roanings but it seems like another gray.
But Cryptoclearance colt is a great find, albeit its a little rare that he is not carrying white leg markings. Wow sir!

Best regards and Blessings,

Thank you very much for

Dear Jenarby,

Although his tail is semi hidden the sharp character of his leg contrasts tend to suggest that may well be something of a sabino. If his tail is flaxen-like then the proof is better for him. Looks like a borderline sabino. Always remember that the sabino pattern (not a gene) is very very unpredictable.

Blessings,

Here's another shot.

He has roany hairs all throughout his body. But only a diamond on his head with a small white line on his nose and a small snip.

It had been suggested earlier that he might be rabicano....I think you had replied, but it was before the reconstruction of the board and I can't remember.

Here's another shot of Eagle meeting his new turn out buddy. Hopefully you can see his tail in it well. I can always go back out and take some close ups if you like.
