I saw FRS in my visit to Baf barn this morn. I will ask Roberto his groom about FRS current condition and post it.

Dear Louis,

Thank you so much for the assistance. Interesting pedigree eh?
Would like to know on what basis did they pursued to expect great things from him. This is a very unconspicuous pedigree, full of great names, but not necessarily great achievers at stud. What did they saw in him in order not to bypass him?

Thanks again,

Best Wishes,

Hi Jorge I will ask Baf about what he saw in FRS to bring him home.
I will ask Roberto his groom how FRS is currently doing. I will have time later to breakdown FRS pedigree, and get back to you. Thanks Louis.

Hi Jorge: FRS had a little setback, but is now doing super X 2. Roberto said FRS is now working his way back to racing condition. Watch for his works in his comeback.

Baf took the Vetrans day off, I will talk to him on Saturday.

Let me look at FRS pedigree and make my comments, Thanks Louis.

FUSAICHI ROCK STAR gr. C 2002
Wild Wonder----Grannies Feather, by Full Feather

FRS has a pedigree of more stamina than speed, as you can see by the breakdown of his 5th generation ancestors. FRS has shown more speed than distance ability in his past performances.

SPEED EARLY MATURING
Nearco
Native Dancer
Dante
Reverse
Bold Ruler 3 crosses
Nashua
Crimson Satan

STAMINA LATE MATURING
Nearco
Native Dancer
Hyperion
The Axe II
Promised Land
Nashua
Native Charger
Nearctic
Arrogate
Dante
Gray Phantom

When Baffert goes to a sale he watches the TB move and doesnt look at the catalog before the sale. In this way the catalog page wont influence his decision.
The pedigree of FRS is not that eye catching to buyers that are looking for a class pedigree.
Sons of Wild Again are breaking sticks in the breeding ranks, and the sire of FRS Wild Wonder is following suit.

I asked Baffert today what he saw in FRS to bid on him.

Baf said FRS was a beautiful TB, a good looker and had a beautiful way of going or a smooth mover.

We cant argue with that statement, as Baf has purchased a prolific amount of TB since he has switched from the QH to TB.

Baffert was out bid on FRS by the Japanese owner of FP. After the hammer fell on FRS, the owner of FP asked Baf if he wanted to train FRS.

Thats how Baf ended up with FRS.

Lucky Bob bid on a fraud and now gets to train him. Seriously folks this horse is a such a fraud. Geez let me guess Bobby has him working bullets....There's a shock! I like all crap they were circulating on Roman Ruler. Remember right before the Travers when he and his lovely asst. were saying RR was like the other great ones thet they had handled. When I saw him at the Haskell crushing Joey P a Jersey bred and the mighty Park Ave Joe thats when I new bobby and Co. were onto something. Come on like that horse ever wanted 10f's in the Travers? The minute they signed the deal on RR the horse headed to KY. Imagine the crap he is going to toss?
