Jerry Bailey's got his fans and his detractors...but I thought he was (and still is, he's not quite retired yet) a VERY good rider.

:cry: Ultimately this means I'm getting older too. That's sad. Lucky for JB that he made all those bucks and can retire on top. With what little social security offers, the rest of us just retire. :wink:

from what i've read, jerry bailey wasn't the most popular with fans or the other jockeys but the sport will sorely miss him. not only was (is) he the best jockey but he's well-spoken and a family man, a very class act in my opinion. i, for one, wish him well and thank him for the positive impact he's had on the sport.

He and Gary Stevens were my favorites.
