Postby brooke » Thu Feb 23, 2006 5:09 pm

Ive had my eye on this colt for a while, but the price just wasnt right. finally though they decided to get in my range. his name is Panthera’s Charge ( atleast thats what i submitted) Check out his pedigree and give me opinons on the distance his pedigree leans towards.

Good luck, I hope it works out for you. Is this your first race horse or yearling purchase?

hey brooke looking at ped to me looks like 6 fur to a mile seems like all the storm cats have the speed , just cause there are 3 dosage points on the right doesn't mean your going to get stamina but let him grow and see what he looks like , I know there are better qualified people out there to tell you but I think speed! have a good one brooke

No its not my first race horse. I just usually wouldnt buy a yearling. I like to raise them myself or buy at a more mature age. I just really liked the looks of this little guy. Very stout nice looking individual that just seems to have that look about him. We'll see though!

I have a like tail female line -Spring Beauty- in the line that I have several mares from. Classy old line. The combination of Spring Beauty with Storm Cat didn't hurt Forest Wildcat any - best of luck to yours.

Brooke---well you know what you are doing then. The pedigree looks fine---you should have an excellent chance of getting at least a very honest race horse out of him. What are your plans for breaking, training, etc? What tracks do you plan to run him at? I will do some research for you on Sir Cat and let you know what he passes on to most of his offspring. Again, good luck with him.
best regards Brendan

i received my trainers license in KY back in June of last year. before that i was an assistant to a training/racing farm in NM. I plan on doing everything start to finish. I have undertaken the raising, training, racing of other peoples horses, so now im very excited to venture out with my own young stock, and be able to handle the whole progression like i see fit. Ill post pics after he arrives tomorrow!

Brooke, are you planning on turning him out in a big paddock with some other babies?
