my breeders cup marathon analysis

black astor- I like Lewis as a trainer she's on the up and up and i want to like this horse as a feel good story, however my money does not have a heart and I am not betting on a horse that finished 10th at a shorter distance last out for a prep.

this horse has won a grade 2 going a long distance and it woul dnot shock me if he got up but i'm not c ounting on it

plsu he's never won on polytrack

MUHANNAK - won this race last year, wasn't the strongest of races. from what i gather he hasn't done anything this year.

Nite Light- I'd take a long hard look at this one. he has race once on all weather and won a grade 3 on it in his only start and not only did he win, he won like a good hosr should, impressivly in hand. fractions weren't all that great but again, he won impressivly. i don't like his running style (Front) in this race but he will be in my tickets

CLOUDY'S KNIGHT - has never ran on synethics from what I can tell and I'm not baning on him winning this race, although he does have class. he's won 2 grade 3's in a row.

Father Time - how the hell is this horse 3 to 1? he can't win a damn claiming race! something isnt' right and this is what irks me about the breerers cup. you want people to spend money gambling but it's not gambling it's guessing when you don't provide relaibale information on the euros.

lol, okay i'm found some half ass reliable infomration on the horse now. juddmonte, grade 2 winner overseas... he's going on my tickets

\
mastery - this is one of the only races where I will place a single at thet op of my ticket. he won the st leger, the worlds 2nd toughest marthon race in the world. this hors towers over the rest class wise

the only way he loses is if he doesnt' take to the surface, but hell none of these horses will take and in this race you have to throw the surface angle out for the most part

Man of Iron- half borther to rags, casino drive and jazil. he's not THAT bad. he's actually not bad at all. he will like the surface. and he can go far. I thnik he hits the board

Win - Mastery
Place - Man of Iron / Father Time / Night Lite /
Show - Man of Iron / Father Time / NIght Lite

If Mastery runs the same race as he did in the St Ledger he will win by at least 5 lengths easing down.

I agree, Mastery does it by a country mile and three quarters.

I love old Cloudy, been following him for several years, and you should not forget that his trainer is Jonathan Sheppard, best known to flat folks as the trainer of Informed Decision, Forever Together and Storm Cat, BUT his major contributions to the sport have been as a steeplechasing trainer and therefore I think he can get Cloudy ready for this trip, so put Cloudy in your exotics, I like him better than Night Lite.

If the St. Leger is the second toughest staying race, which is the toughest? Is it the Ascot Gold Cup?

Yes he did. See, for example this page http://www.ntra.com/stats_bios.aspx?id=2338

Mastery is the class of the field, but don't sleep on the old dude Cloudy's night, he could surprise at a price.
