I seriously think in 3 years, martin garcia will be the best jockey in the country. that kid is good. so damn good with so little experience.

He is really really good. Great hands can finish like Pincay and just watch the confidence he gives a horse..

I adore Zenyatta so you won't get any argument from me there but she drew just over 12k people. That is pathetic especially considering there was a giveaway. Oaklawn drew like 40k even after Rachel dropped out. Sounds to me like Cali is bored with her and have moved on to who knows what.

It was a BIG crowd for Inglehood.
I don't think it's a sign that CA is bored with her. It is a sign of how dead racing in CA is.

I don't think that's an official Breyer, if it is it's not released to the public yet....it looks like a custom job, a Seattle Slew that someone painted her markings on. There are some model customizers out there doing beautiful work.

Breyer just did one of Rachel, though, so Z is likely next. If they're doing a new mold for her, it may take a while (and they should, IMO - the last three female racers they've done have been on the same mold. Yawn!). If not, the mold shown in the video - originaly made for Lonesome Glory, since used for Slew, Afleet Alex, Phar Lap & Red Rum - would be an excellent choice....with one *minor* adjustment. The mold is for a male. ;)

Would have liked to see ESPN or somebody cover that race so it'd get more exposure than just being broadcast on TVG. I mean it was for a fairly important record, and really, the excitement of the race itself would have definitely attracted many new Zenyatta fans. That's the kind of stuff that will attract and keep racing fans.
