I also boxed in a Trifecta; Archarcharch, Master Of Hounds, Midnight Interlude and Nehro. GLT all...

I have two ways I'm going.
First round:
ArchArchArch
Pants on Fire
Mucho Macho Man

then toss in See Me Go (that way I got all the estrogen covered O'Connell,Ritvo, and ROSIE!!!!) :D
trying to come up with something brillant..... this may take a while. :)

No real clear-cut pick for me this year.

$5 across the board on Nehro & Midnight Interlude.
$2 exacta box Nehro, Midnight Interlude, Soldat, Master of Hounds, Dialed In.

....not that I'm at the track to actually play it. ;)

A tip o' my hat to Bill of Wa for his discussion on Animal Kingdom, above...although I like [Read: LOVE!] his pedigree, have great respect for his Team Valor connections, "both" of his 'named' jockeys, as well as his Trainer it was hard for me to throw him in with no starts on dirt and so few outs lifetime....then......I remembered having read what Bill had to say regarding his workout at CD, really seeming to be peaking at the right time in the post above.

With Animal Kingdom in, along with ArchArchArch, Nehro, Pants On Fire, Derby Kitten (that was my so called "Swami" selection) and Decisive Moment for a Trifecta Wheel at $120 I thought I was sitting pretty...then someone sitting near me mentioned Mucho Macho Man and I realized I'd meant to include him so went up and had him added to my ticket.

WOW - I WON the trifecta for a total spent of $210....Had a good day at the track up to then and of course a really GREAT DAY after that - but most of all I LOVED watching Animal Kingdom power down the stretch, leaving the others behind to pick up the leftovers.

Thanks Bill !!!!

I play in handicapping contests at Thoroughbredchampions.com and another site. I won the one at TC using Animal Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom and Nehro are in my 2009-yearling-sales virtual stable (210 strong from a 'budget' of $10,000,000), this being the first year I'd ever gotten a Derby starter. Going into the race I didn't think either of them had a chance and I was rooting for Archarcharch. I was over the f*****g moon!!! Times like these I wish I had put money on it... although history has shown that I am a very poor handicapper, this year being no exception

We should compare notes...I do that game too.
I was delighted AK won...I threw him out when I handicapped for rain, but wanted him to win, and was so happy. This is the first time EVER a horse I like has won the derby!
