i can't believe I hit an exacta

Postby sulphurfire » Tue Jul 02, 2013 6:05 pm

I went to Delta Downs last Saturday and hit my first exacta ever , the 8th race I boxed a dollar exacta on the 4 and 8 and it hit. Also had the 4 horse bet WPS, my little bet returned 158 dollars. Wasn't thoroughbred, but was still exciting. I'm not really a gambler , this may have been my fifth try at an exacta.
"The rewards, whether for winning or for losing, offer almost irresistible temptations to race a two-year-old more times than are good for them." John Hay Whitney at the annual testimonial dinner in October 1963 for the Thoroughbred Club of America

I remember fondly when I won a pick three...and then realized I had spent more on it than I had won.
Still---it's fun to win!
Congrats!
