Hi Z, reenci,
Seems trainer Bonde is putting a line through Sway Away's race. There was trouble in the gate before the start and Sway Away lunged into the stall doors, which may have been the reason he was missing a tooth after the running of the race.....he was then standing awkward when they sprung the gate leaving him unprepared for the start, so don't give up on him yet. i have been dealing with serious fatigue issues, i'[ve just been burned out, and friday i slept 13 hours and woke up and was still tired and decided i needed a break so I banned myself from working/horse racing for 5 days, I am just now watching the race.

at first i was heartbroken about sway away but i read here he missed a tooth. that has to suck. i hope he is okay, you have to deal with the bacteria and stuff like that, it an be alot more serious than it looks. didn't run a step.

i told you, the jockies in that race seemed to be reading too many message boards and assumed the factor was a one trick pony. i new the race was over at the half mile pole. he's just too good to give 46 second half miles to and expect to win, he's got a lot of hard spun in him.

with that said, this race is not vendivitive of what he is going to see in the arknasa derby or the kentucky dreby, and i love the freaking horse lol., there was no speed here, and there was no one who could catch him.

quick aside--is the factor REALLY named after The O'Reilly Factor, or is that a wish / rumor?

That would certainly explain his sub par performance.

Yeah, he is named after that show. O'Reilly talks about him. Kind of fun.

Bill O'Reilly just had a replay of the race on his show Monday night. Love it! It's a great name, and even moreso for the namesake!

However, I hope to neve see a horse named Pinhead. Patriot would be great, not pinhead LOL

BDW, off topic here, but you said you were not feeling so great.

Make sure you keep check of your temperature, if you feel like your lymph nodes are swollen, etc. GET TO THE DOCTOR!

I made the mistake of not doing that, ended up with a horrible infection after a surgery and ended up a total of about 12 weeks total in the hospital with a port going through my heart to deliver a very strong antibiodic. So strong it killed the good things in my body, now my hair, teeth, skin, and nails are showing the effects of it. And I always feel tired.

So, please, I don't know you, however I would NEVER wish that to happen to anyone. Get well!

Hi bdw,
Sham also lost a tooth hitting the gate when he ran in the Derby VS. Secretariat.
You better take more than 5 days off from racing......that's not nearly gonna recharge race spent batteries......feel better. TJ

Oh dear. I'm not a Kentucky Republican like many of you, but I will try to swallow my disappointment and be gracious. At least O'Reilly appreciates it---has Sting ever commented on Zenyatta?

Thanks TJ!!!

Bill O'Reilly has had just about every race this horse has run on his show.
You can tell he really enjoys it as well.

I'm not in KY, wish I was, in far NE IL, part of it some of our current president's old stomping grounds....that's why I am a Conservative now. I will say nothing more but there is alot the country does not know about the "big change" we have not had.

Anyway, do any of you know of what the next race for The Factor would be? I would assume they would want to run him at least one more time, or is it better to not? With the Derby, it's usually The FIELD that comes in first, or so its called for the bettors out there! LOL

Hi erhrdt,
Baffert said The Factor came out of his race none the worse for wear....he is considering The Arkansas Derby on April 16th or possibly the Santa Anita Derby on April 9th (the SA Derby may come back too fast?).....both at a mile and an eighth. TJ

Sting has commented numerous times about Zenyatta. There was a live (or taped) feed before one of her races and he was offering her his well-wishes. Might have been the breeder's cup, I just don't remember.
