Louis: Sea My Halo

Postby Moscow Burning » Sun Jul 16, 2006 3:00 pm

I have a big favor...Sea My Halo was leading the 3rd race today (Sunday) at Hollywood Park when he broke down. His is out of the Troy Bainum barn and owned by Robert Lawler. I know everyone is probably leaving for Del Mar, but do you think you could check to see if he made it? The jock tried to pull him up as fast as he could, but Sea My Halo was badly off in the front before they came to a stop.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated...thank you!!

I will ask the pony to post girls what is the prognosis of SMH.

Everybody is moving south to Del Mar, and the Hollywood Pk. track is closed for the summer.

Hollywood Pk. is to install the Poly Track this week.

Thank you Louis, anything you might be able to find out would be greatly appreciated.

I am glad they are putting polytrack in...seems to be easier on the horses.

SMH broke her knee and was put down, as her injury was very bad.

How sad...thank you so much Louis for checking. Sea My Halo was a beautiful animal and was running such a great race. RIP Sea My Halo.

Thank you both for this information. I saw that as well and I was in tears... I too thought he was very beautiful (looked like he was almost black, though we know how picky the JC is about that) and was enjoying watching him run that great race. It looked so bad, you just knew
God Bless you Sea My Halo  ...

How tragic. I didn't get to Hollywood Park until the 6th race on Sunday. So I had no idea what happened to Sea My Halo. I came home and watched the earlier races on replay. He was running such a great race and then pulled up all of a sudden. I was hoping it wasn't serious and that he would be OK. I just found out tonight that he'd been euthanized. It's such a shame. I was looking up his bloodline tonight and thought you all might be interested to know that he had a pedigree that included Man O' War, War Admiral and Native Dancer. Such a tragic loss of such a gallant competitor. You know ... he was running that last race as a 13-1 and was taking it to them. What a shame. Rest In Peace Sea My Halo.
