There is a good LA Bred program developing. Lots better stallions and mares moving into the state because of the slot money. Breeders who own mares get 20% and from what ive been hearing they might bump it to 25%. The Stallions are getting 5%. Lots of money in the purses in Louisiana.
Also, if one of the horses you breed leaves the state you will still get 10% of the breeders awards for out of state races. This sometimes happens especially to the better ones who leave from time to time for a stakes race.
