Well, her first race...she was totally dumb for the first 600 meters, like, seriously, she didnt know if she was coming or going, and in the last 400 it was like something just clicked and she just powered to the front to win by 3 lengths. Hands and heels, her Jock didnt bring his stick up once!
Here's the pic from her first run:
Then we decided to aim her for a Grade 3 feature: the Godolphin Barb...at first it was a toss up whether to put her against the boys or to go with the girls in the Strelitzia...anyways, the boys only had 5 acceptances, so we went for that and made up 6...well, the race ran yesterday and...she cruised in with 2.25 lengths to spare....and came back not even blowing...once again her Jock never raised his stick.
Here's her pics:
And her happy owners and jockey:
And here's 2 of her I took this morning sporting her new day sheet:
Now, I know it doesn't sound like much...but this filly is going to do big things!!! her next mission is the Allan Robertson...a big race for Juvie fillies, and this filly has just done everything on her own....only seen the grass once - in training and that was to get her start cert.
Needless to say we're all like way up on top of the world over this filly!!! lol, we call her Winnie The Pooh....but she truly is a Winner!!!
