dray

Were you the co-breeder of Aswaaq by Empire Maker. He broke his maiden in his 3rd start today at Aqu. Congrats if I am correct....

Thanks! I really had very little to do with it. All the props to Becky Thomas who chose the mating for QUEEN MAMA (who we just sold at the Breeding Stock Sale!). We do have a lil' Medaglia D'oro half to Aswaaq!

Neah. Unfortunately, I never got to the farm. I bet Becky has some though. Aswaaq sold very well. The mare was a short-legged dumpy sort, but seemed to throw lovely babies. Whoda thunkin? We were always careful to breed her to leggy sires.

Thanks all. I had so little to do with it... I think my ultimate goal is to breed and race one to victory under my silks. That must be awesome. If you have done it, I would love to hear about the horse, and circumstance.

Heading into my quiet time from a racing standpoint. I don't do to much during the winter....have only 1 filly right now....she's turned out....grass girl gets the winter off. May pick something up at GP, but from a business standpoint, I have a tough time with the purses down there..... clm. purses are peanuts and the ALW. fields are pretty salty!
And DOWN the stretch they come!

Congrats Dray and hang in there and you'll get in the winner' circle with a home bred. I've kinda lost track but I can think of at least eleven of my homebreds that have taken me there, the best a G3, and hopefully more to come in the near future.

No, not really awesome and I forgot Mama's Temper, probably because Maggi Moss claimed her and did very well with her. My G3 was a filly named Ashford Castle. She was my favorite and took us to places like derby day at Churchill, Saratoga, and FG. She didn't always win but it was one of the most exciting times of my life.
