I had heard that Castledale had been very sick for a while. Any info on that--like what, when?

Castledale bled badly in the Ky. Derby and almost died. Currently he is ok as he ran in the San Fernando 2 weeks ago and was unplaced. When I go to his barn I'll ask how he is doing now and I'll post it.

Thanks, Louis. I have a friend whose "first horse" is Castledale and she'd heard something had happened to him. I'll let her know about the bleeding and whatever else you find out. Thank you so very much for being the onsite eyes and ears for people who can't get onto the backside.

Trainer Jeff Mullins is on the fence as to whether he is going to run Castledale in the GR 2 Strub. Castledale has been entered, and I assume all is well with Castledale at this time.

Thanks, Louis. I'll pass that information on. Hope the bleeding problem doesn't recur.
