The Pegasus

Looks like Jackson bend has a little challenge this weekend in the Pegasus. Hopefully schoolyard can keep his shoes on and they won't have an excuse

Half are better? Which race are you talking about? There are a couple decent horses in there but not better. Watch the Preakness again and come back.

soaring empire, afleet express and afleet again are all going to be legit handicap horses.

jackson bend is a name horse becuase he had enough earnings early on to run in the TC, and the only 2 times he ran against a horse worth a damn he ran up the track.

now the real running starts for 3YO's. the triple crown is not the showcase for the best 3YO's anymore it's the showcase for the 3YO's that have the most earnings. they are usually not one in the same.

The only bad race he's run was the derby. And that was because of many factors. He was the best horse running the Preakness and is consistent. He may not run the breeders cup classic. But he has earned over 800k and is a hard knocking lil horse. I still think he is very underappreciated.

he hasnt' won a race all year and hasn't sniffed a 100 beyer speed figure as a 3YO.

he's a nice allowence horse. maybe a grade 3 type horse when it's all said and done.

bdw your posts regarding the quality of Jackson Bend have to be among the most ridiculous you have ever posted. Allowance horses don't finish a close third in one of the Classics, with a less than perfect trip to boot. As far as not winning this year, true but no 3yo would have beat Esken in those two races. All his races have been with the cream of the crop this year unlike your beloved Nordic Truce. Not saying he's a world beater but he's a good solid graded type horse who may just knock down a Grade one before he's done. Beyer Smeyer it's class of competition.

Did not bet him as well but do think he's a better horse then today for sure. Maybe the little guy needs some time off, he been going pretty much since last summer and that Preakness had to have took a lot out of him. Very cool to see the Afleet Alex's doing so good.

i don't think he wants any part of two turns (against mature, developed graded stakes calibur horses that is) and could probably use a break.

That definitely was not the usual Jackson bend. I think we all know that. Same can be said about schoolyard. But since you two are psychics and know this game so well, I'm assuming we will yalls faces standing in the winners circle next derby right? The horse has run harder than any other 3 year old. Probably is time for a break and a cut back in distance. The Haskell was the target but that's probably nipped now. So George just email me the winners of the races tomorrow before you go to bed tonight and I'll cut you 20%. And I have plenty of bud light, so the crow won't be that bad
