Having gone past Miesques record of Group/Grade1 wins after winning the Prix de la Foret at the weekend.
She has won at the highest level from 7 to 9 Furlongs on the turf in Europe and the USA. Does anyone else think that maybe she should try the Classic at the Breeders Cup this year as she has nothing left to prove on the turf and the only thing that could enhance her reputation now is a win on the dirt?

She is capable certainement...
..won before 1850 and 2100..Can we say she is a grass specialist, by training ?
Dirt and left-handed-ness ...double whammy ? It always reminds me of Giant's Causeway and Sakhee..all beaten
by a whisker (of course by a big and strong being).

Stick to the Mile.
This mare has absolutely nothing to gain by running on dirt or by running past her best distance. The chances that she will run her best on dirt are very low, the chances that she will make money on dirt are very low, and the chances that she will make money on dirt are much higher.

My point was made more from a sporting point of view. She has nothing left to prove at 7 to 9 Furlongs on turf. The last time a euro horse did any good in the classic it was our 2 best turf milers in Ravens Pass and Henrythenavigator and if she wins it will only enhance her reputation and if she loses it can easily be written off as being on the wrong surface with no real damage to her reputation as the best ever mare at 7 to 9 furlongs on turf.

honestly.. if she was in the classic.. i'd take her. I have always thought a euro miler was an american 10F horse so i'm no worried abo ut the distance. she either does or does not take to dirt, but her cruising speed makes her a perfect running style for American dirt races.
i've made (much) worse wagers.
has a forien filly/mare ever ran in the classic?

I wonder if she has ever trained on all weather or dirt.
I like her on anything and while she might be a hair short at a mile and a half on the dirt, it would be a fascinating addition to the race.
I seem to recall a horse by the name of Cigar getting better going turf to dirt.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.
hi DaveC
Two great thoroughbreds for the ages. At a mile and a quarter though, I'd give Zenyatta quite the edge
.
Fair comment.
Maybe some were...but not before or after Z won going the mile and a quarter distance, have I ever heard (not even the faintest whisper) anyone voice doubt re Zenyatta's ability to handle the distance...never.
For what it's worth...I have zero doubt that Z could easily handle a mile and a half
.
Best to ya.
Respectfully

Age is the concern...not distance(up to 10f)..In the ladies' secret..I think many fans had dumped her 3 yards before
the tape...anyway...why will there be any fun to risk her again in the men's ?...she already made it last year..if for
the top title then Ladies will suffice...I believe.
