Conduit Mare Profiles and Racing Style

Postby Mahubah » Mon Feb 28, 2005 4:13 pm

Bill -- does it have any significance to a horse's racing style or aptitude if the Index is markedly greater or less than the Stamina Index? Still trying to get a grip on the nuances -- I think I can tell a plodder from a horse likely to have speed by using a Conduit Mares profile, but how do I distinguish the pure front runner from the stalker from horse that has a turn of foot from off the pace?

Hi Mahubah

These are generalities that may differ due to the way a trainer chooses to run a horse. If a profile has significant speed points, and the points lean heavily toward the Brilliant classification, this usually indacates a horse that runs on or near the pace, especially if the first triad is dominant. If the Brilliant classification is balanced by heavy points in the Professional or Stout classifications, this horse should be able to carry that speed over a distance of ground (Smarty Jones, Seattle Slew). If the speed points (B/I) are significant, perhaps 10 or more, and are balanced, or heavier in "I" , that horse may be a the type that lays just off the pace. High speed points with a significant number of "C", "S" and or "P"points might be a deep closing sprinter (Kona Gold).

Smarty Jones: 11-2-2-2-11 (13/13) (1.00)
Seattle Slew: 10-3-3-3-10 (13/13) (1.00)
Kona Gold: 10-3-0-6-6 (13/12) (1.28)

hi mahubah,

thank's for the wellcome,

here are the next ranked top,

tom fool 7-1-9-7-1
affirmed 7-1-1-3-3
war admiral 6-1-9-5-0
buckpasser 9-1-2-0-2
colin 4-1-5-3-4
damascus 5-1-8-2-0
round table 7-1-3-6-0
cigar 5-1-5-4-1
bold ruler 5-3-4-7-1
swaps 4-1-4-1-3
of notice in the 2nd rank of 10 is bold ruler with 3 intermidiat point/s
since i, set the dosage profile in a default so it will not pass 32 f distance
so a increase to 3 0r 4 is a verry special combo of breeding from the past,
i, have not found to many ,also grani is with 9-3-8-9-1 in he is siegy's horse,
controversial how knows?
but i, do not tinker with the numbers they fall as they are.
regard's Siegy, :o
