Kentucky Oaks

Postby sulphurfire » Mon Mar 07, 2005 7:06 am

Okay I've been watching the speculating on who might and might not be running in the Derby, but what about the Oaks. Anybody have a favorite out there for the Oaks so far?

Sweet Catomine, if she doesn't head for the Derby.

Timeless Forest, if Romans can get her healthy in time and get her a couple races.

LOL, KAL, that's a pretty tall order for a maiden filly. Not that I wouldn't be delighted...

Any thoughts on Sis City if Sweet Catomine runs against the boys? Think she stands a decent chance?

I don't think that Sweet Catomine will go the Derby route.

The sport of TB racing needs a stronger marketing approach.

Instead of leaving the fans in the dark ages, its time to let the fans know what TB are pointing to which races, far in advance of the the current 10 days.

You create a new fan base by doing the above. As the new fans are the future of the industry.

If I didnt work at the racetrack I would be in the dark ages too, as this area of marketing is sadly missing.
Those without sin cast the first stone.

I'm really pulling for Sis City... I have a Slew City Slew mare, would LOVE to see one of his daughters up there in a big-time classic....
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
