yeah after a few minutes to let it sink in it wasn't a bad comeback at all. he wants to run further and drill always has had CC's number at 1 turn. this was a tighter for future efforts IMHO.

funny thing is, drill has never lost one turn. he's a 1 turn sprinter. i promise you he will be put in the next derby prep

Baffert was very coy in a post race interview regarding Drill's future. We shall see. I've been a Drill fan since last summer, he being by Lawyer Ron a Fav of mine. He seems to be a head case. Ran several dismal races in a row. Obviously has a lot of talent but even yesterday he looked like he was going to cruise by the pacesetter only to pull himself up waiting for the other horse and making it pretty close.

I prefer for Creative Cause not to win right now but rather to peak during mid April. This horse is running quite well and has a very legitimate Derby potential. But his come-from-behind style consists of a very long steady move. Quite ideal for a 10 furlongs race. The best thing seems to be his pedigree. Fingers crossed! :D

this is my derby horse. n o doubt about it. he's still not even running straight. he will get 10F and he will love it.

He was all over the place in the stretch and still got there. He seems to have a big stride that covers ground.
