My Miss Aurelia wins Cotillion

Surprisingly slow fractions posted during the running of the Cotillion, while Questing set that easy pace....at the 3/16ths pole the two hooked up and went head to head to the wire. Questing lost the decision by a head to the undefeated My Miss Aurelia. Only excuse for Questing was the top weight assignment of 124lbs as opposed to My Miss Aurelia's 117 pound package. They will carry even weight in the BC Ladies Classic. TJ

The rider for Questing did just everything he could to win the race: got slow fractions, and then drifted wide on the final turn. Nakatani seemed to know exactly what was happening and got My Miss Aurelia right up against Questing for the stretch run. The weight probably had an affect too.
