from a pure betting standpoint i'm going to take a long hard look at mylute. he reminds me a lot of Berdardini i think he's just a tad bit behind the 8 ball but i think he will end up being as good as any in this crop this could be his coming out party. could be.

and that's exactly what happened
i didn't like Keving Krigger at golden gate. I didn't like kevin krigger when i made this post
and today seals the deal
if i were doug o neil i'd probably shoot kevin krigger after today's race.
first of all, he could have freakign won the race had he used any thought at all and went to the lead. what the hell are you sitting off a horse going 48 and 3 for lol and you are the speed. AND you had the rail. this was his race for the taking.
more than that, because he sat off the speed he didn't give orb anything to run at. this race was over at the half mile pole.
Krigger needs to go finish his career at portland meadows or something

and..... that's why Krigger is at Golden Gate and not Santa Anita
holy shit what a horrible ride. i saw the end result coming at the half mile mark they were cooking each other. chasing down a 29 to 1 shot who himself was flying
I actually think flash point can get 9F off this race, he was cooking that pace. slow it down a little he wins this race by a few lengths.
but man i'd be hot if i were o'neil

I agree bdw...I saw the fraction for the half and I was like "yep, slow go" which let Stevens and Oxbow pretty much steal the race from any closer. I believe Orb did get into a little traffic and with the slow pace perhaps got frustrated. He might need a quick pace to allow him to throw it into a higher gear. I hope there is nothing physically wrong with him; he did cool out all right.

my take is that Golden Cents was done in the post parade. horse language--u take me in :13s every day, today I'm tired. Looked like Rosario middle of back stretch, as Orb was surging, took back for 3 or 4 strides, for reasons unknown. That might have been the rider today asleep at the switch. Orb looked like he lacked speed. Interesting that the horses on the inside mostly faded. Did the other races play that way?

I haven't posted for awhile, but I take much offense to this statement:
"Krigger needs to go finish his career at portland meadows or something"
Oh please...
Not everyone can race in California or on the East Coast...While PM may not be the premier track, it is our home track, and don't wish crap on us please. Contrary to popular belief, Oregon does produce some good horses, and some good jockeys. Once you breed, raise the foal to racing age, and then pay for trainers, and actually race a horse, call me...In the meantime, go back to your apartment...

You do realize that Kevin Krigger has been riding in Southern California since the 2012 Summer meet in Hollywood.
Also, I don't suppose you knew he finished 10th in the standings at the recently concluded Spring Meet at Santa Anita.
Knowing the aforementioned would require a person to actually look stuff up, so I reckon you didn't know
FWIW, I'm sure PM would be thrilled to have a top flight jock such as Kevin Krigger at their track.

not even going to stoop there
my post had nothing to do with portland meadows in the sense that i think it's a bad track and today i'm above stooping to name calling of other members. i'm better than that. i'm quite confident in who i am and what i am and where i am in life and shitty jabs like that well.. you are going to have to do better a lot better
my poitn stands. even if ratherrapid is correct and he lost the race in the post parade, there is no excuse for a front running horse to allow another horse to get in front of him and proceed to run a 48 second half mile when you have the 2 hole. that's bush league, you can call me every name in the book and it won't dispute that fact.

pimlico is just not one of those tracks where a deep closer isg oing to make up ground like that unless its big red. you can't give a grade 1 horse at pimlico that type of pace and go get him the track isn't deep enough.
I think Joel knew this to some extent which is why he moved much much earlier but there wasn't any thing he could really do outside of go and battle oxbow himself and his post position wouldn't allow for that after the first turn

Get off your high horse. I am not calling you out, I am however, remarking on your comment. If you're "better than that", then knock off the comments regarding PM. If you were not ascertaining that Portland Meadows is less than any other track, then you shouldn't have mentioned it. There is no question, you are a very good handicapper, but that is all...you have no right name calling certain tracks until you walk a mile in their shoes...

you don't know anything about me other than my handle to remark on what i do and don't' know. You don't know what I do or don't own I don't live on this forum. Even if you did and it doesn't qualify or disqualify me from making the assessment that KK is more fit to ride on the northwest circit than the triple crown circit.
I will apologize if i hit a nerve, i can see if you race at portland meadows how that remark can be deemed offensive but that honestly was not my intent; it was simply to say that KK was not ready for the big stage.
in other words if we were playing baseball instead of horse racing and Kevin Krigger had just struck out 4 times in a sunday night MLB game and i asid he sucks and belongs in double A, that's not me being derogatory towards double A which is how you are taking it. I think you are being a tad over sensitive but again, I will extend an olive branch and apologize for my remarks
I really like Portland meadows and try to play it when it doesn't confirt with socal races (I like the fact that they actually show the horses in the post parades). Just wish they ran a tad bit later in the day
