Some like to play pick 6s etc. Try this. The bet calls for you to pick all the races on the card. You are 'alive' as long as your horses on your ticket have won every race. Once your card doesn't have a winner for a given race, its a loser. It would pay once there were no winners. further, there would be a jackpot / carryover element so half the pot would go to all the winners, and if you were the sole winner you would also get the jackpot. If no sole winner the jackpot component carrys over.

So say there were 3 big longshots that won the first 3 races and a longshot in the fourth and there were no live tickets. Then everyone who had the first 3 cash. If you were the sole winner that had all four you get the whole jackpot. If there were all favorites in the early races you might have to pick the whole card to win.

I think this would really encourage people picking long shots especially early in the card. Or 'somewhere'. The number of live tickets could be announced after each race - building interest. It would be really exciting if you were down to five and you didn't have the favorite. This payoff point could happen in almost any race in the card depending on what came in. Also, those who were 'out early' could still do the late exotics.

for favorites players, you would have to hit maybe 7 or 8 in a row to cash?
