A minor misjudgement: C'maw Charlie

Postby RandomThoughts » Fri Mar 07, 2014 9:52 am

I'm sure that this would be an interesting story to learn more about.

It seems that the 3yo colt named C'maw Charlie (By My Pal Charlie out of a multiple graded stakes placed mare by Lord of War), destroyed a field by 29 3/4 lengths in a Mdn $10,000 at Delta Downs in his first start on March 5th. No doubt his owners had mixed feelings about the win as the colt was claimed.
The talented ones will give you an early hint.

No kidding.
Two ways to look at it: the field was terrible. Or, he might be a heckuva horse.

He had really nice works. I would imagine he was on someone's radar since the sub 36 3f work on 1/27.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

His splits weren't particularly fast, nor was his winning time. It will be interesting to see what he does next time out.
