The clarity is unbelievable. The location is perfect. It kills the argument that you just can't see anything if you are sitting in the stands for Derby or Oaks. Everyone Can See Everything from just about Everywhere. Talking to folks in the know, I found out that Churchill got the screen for FREE. The downside is that the backside lost 88 stalls (2 barns).. I don't know if there is any kind of plan to make that up somehow.The place was PACKED. The whole "Down After Dark" thing really brings out the CROWD.. I know CD comes under a lot of fire from naysayers, but I am, I think, beginning to see the whole vision. They are really REPACKAGING racing to appeal to a really BIG young crowd. I believe that can only be in the best interest of the longevity of racing as a sport.
