Ward and Espinoza Win at Royal Ascot

Postby TJ » Tue Jun 17, 2014 1:09 pm

Ex-jockey turned trainer, Wesley Ward gave Victor Espinoza a boost when he asked him to ride 6 horses for him at the Royal Ascot meeting. Winning with their first starter, 2YO Hootenanny won the Windsor Castle stakes for owners Derrick Smith, Michael Tabor, and John Magnier over the straightaway course going 5/8ths.
Verrazano trained by Aidan O'Brien finished 2nd in the Queen Anne Stakes, beaten 3/4's by Toronado. TJ

Hootenanny is the first winner and SW for Quality Road.

Ward does so well at Ascot.

I always thought Quality Road would be a really top class sire.
