By the Moon, who ran 2nd in the G1 Spinaway Stakes last out, is an 8-1 ML for this Saturday's Grade One Frizette Stakes at Belmont Park. I like her chances and here is why:

By the Moon's dam sire, Malibu Moon, is known as a very good wet track sire. Orb, his son, won the Kentucky Derby on a sloppy track.

Malibu Moon as a rising broodmare sire. He is quite the stallion. Nice win by the filly.

Thanks for the kudos TJ. My buddy and I saw this filly break her maiden impressively on the opening day of the Saratoga meet and after looking at her pedigree I wrote my first pedigree analysis piece on her. Letting her get away at 24-1 today was flat out criminal. She is regally bred and very talented. She will be over looked again at Santa Anita because she won as a longshot and it was in the mud. I look forward to it. But nothing will be this good. If you like my writing go to bobschless.wordpress.com and follow my blog so you can be alerted after each article I publish.
