Quality Road is the 2014 Leading Freshman Sire. What made him so good and where does his future take him?

Quality Road has a regally bred pedigree backed by a
regally assembled longtime breeding operation. Not just the name.
Let's take a look at the breeders behind every horse behind
this pedigree.

Quality Road was owned and bred by Edward Evans, whose family also bred distance influence Pleasant Colony. He also owned his dam Kobla. Allen Paulson bred all five of Strawberry Road's (Kobla's sire) progeny who ran in Breeders' Cup races. Elusive Quality was bred at Silver Springs Farms, which is owned by the same people who own Plantation Stud-a 100 year old operation in Newmarket, England.

He is a big, beautiful horse with a pedigree and racing ability to match. Three NTR's, 4 grade 1's. He is from a strong female family, and he certainly lives up to his name. I love the look of his 3rd dam, what a mare - http://www.pedigreequery.com/highest+trump
