Thanks, Mac and geowarrior. Rage for Fame was due to foal last Thursday. We had planned a trip to Lexington, leaving on Friday, but cancelled due to inclement weather predictions for this weekend in Lexington. Looks like it was a good decision. With her first foal, Tenbrook, Rage decided to postpone delivery because of weather conditions and it appears that is the case this time as well. She was almost 3 weeks overdue with Tenbrook. With nice weather, Rage foaled on her due date, May 26, two years ago with her Midnight Lute filly. Temple City has already lodged an objection as he was looking forward to his date with our beautiful chestnut mare. :D

Hi Jagger.

Seems like a sensible mare. Hopefully Temple City can wait till the weather clears.

According to Steve Haskin today, Bolo might be back on the Derby trail. Papacoolpapacool looked good winning over the weekend also. All promising signs for Temple City.

Bolo is a very talented colt. Makes me remember of Flying Paster
who came along during the same year of Spectacular Bid.
Bolo has lots of talent but Dortmund is a different paradigm.
At this moment, Dortmund, Bolo and Carpe Diem seem far superior
than the rest.

So how do we like Bolo after the San Felipe?

I thought he ran well but looked like a horse that needed the race.

Here is another curiosity regarding Kentucky Derby aspirant BOLO:

In Spanish, the term ''Bolo'' specifically means a rooster (or other corral bird)
who was born without a tail.

Here is a photo of a "bolo" rooster: https://supurbanfarm.files.wordpress.co ... aucana.jpg

Several years ago there was a talented Thoroughbred who was foaled with a very short tail
named SEA CADET; but of course, in the case of BOLO, he is not fashioning a short tail.

As per the chances of a very good Derby performance by BOLO, don't be surprised of a very solid
finish.

Our mare, Rage For Fame, was covered 2 Mondays ago by Temple City. Needless to say, we'll be really pulling for BOLO!!!!

Good to hear, jagger, I was wondering about that. How is the new foal?
