Sticking with my January horse, Ocho Ocho Ocho, because he has done nothing wrong. Except not make a start. But rumour has it he will be running in March in the San Felipe. He has been working well.
The only knock on him is that he is half the size of Dortmund, but dynamite comes in small packages, and I love that pedigree.

I can see that big moose Dortmund grinding through the stretch to win it all. I usually automatically toss the UAE Derby winner but this year maybe not, especially with many of the U.S. contenders coming in so lightly raced.

I think Dortmund is one of those that impress early but is more of a middle distance, 9f, horse that won't be able to get that last furlong.

Here's my top 6.....subject to change at any moment:>) Upstart is in the wings...TJ
Mubtaahij..."If" he handles the dirt at CD? Works will tell...
Dortmund...Seemed to improve in his first 1 1/8th race, no reason he won't love the Derby distance!
Materiality...He's at a disadvantage missing his 2YO season, but has serious ability.
Carpe Diem...Has done everything right this season...moves up if JV chooses him over Materiality.
American Pharoah...I question his ability at 1 1/4 miles...Saturday's 1 1/8th Arkansas Derby could change that?
Frosted...coming to hand at the right time!

Mubtaahij (only uneasiness is how well he will adapt, so might jump off him to Dortmund if anything isn't clicking for him at CD...)
Dortmund
Materiality
Frosted
Carpe Diem

I like Materiality a TON...but wow he's lightly raced for this 22-horse slugfest.

The most anticipated KD for me in years....
