Chinks - possibly his size in a large and bumpy Kentucky Derby field?

Re: Dortmund's stride.

Last May Dortmund breezed a furlong in :10 1/5 for the 2-year-olds in training sale at Timonium. Frank Mitchell reports that the BreezeFig makers at DataTrack International computed that as an average speed of 45 mph and a stride of more than 26 feet, making Dortmund one of the longest-striding horses of the entire juvenile sales season.
