Re: Runhappy
He was working lights out leading into the race, so possibly the bettors were looking at that.
The stretch out to a mile coming off a lay-off concerned me.
I thought he would win by daylight, or be way up the track. If that makes any sense.

Re: Runhappy
While I do not think 1 mile is his best distance, maybe we should be talking about the role the trainer plays in a runner's success?
Re: Runhappy
And am I the only one who wonders how well Mr Z might have done if his connections would have entered him in listed or grade 3 events instead of all the grade 1s as grade 2s he has run in?
Re: Runhappy
RH has another brilliant race or two in him. If he can be trained up to it. BC Mile is not for him.

Re: Runhappy
Umm Joltman, Being at the Breeders Cup in Ca. and actually seeing the horse myself, RH is NOT working out, and he simply doesn't want to do anything. I don't know where you got that the horse , who doesn't want to work, "has a few more races left in him". But perhaps you need to be around the horse to say that about him.
