Morse Code, a more than half brother to Honor Code makes his second start today at Belmont in the 4th race. He ran 2nd in his first start last year and has steady works for his comeback. He could be any kind.

Well, he did not run so well, maybe he did not like the off going, but he did move up a little late so I won't give up on him just yet. I really like his name and the play on words, to send Morse code you need to tap it out, and being a son of Tapit and kin to Honor Code fits to a tea.

That is a NEAT kind of name for a Tapit.

Morse Code had his 5th career start today at Gulf and it was his first run at a distance and over the turf at 1 mile and 1/16th. Johnny V. got after him early and he responded when asked and had a long battle to get the win in 1:40.49. I think the distance change was what he wanted, but he may like the grass. I am sure Shug will try him on the main track again, but we will see. I waited all day for the 6th race to come up and he was favored so my only way to make some money was to play a few exactas with him on top and it worked out well for me, seldom does, but it did.
