Belmont picks?
I like Epicharis. It would be very fitting to see a male-line grandson of Sunday Silence get revenge for S.S.'s loss in the Belmont. I also think he has a great pedigree for the distance.
Re: Belmont picks?
I picked Irish war cry and j boys echo in the derby, so I will stick with them ...
Re: Belmont picks?
Rooting for the big red, Twisted Tom.
Re: Belmont picks?
Patch. Johnny V will have Patch stalk Meantime and wear him down just like he did in Patch's maiden win.

Re: Belmont picks?
I would be thrilled if Patch won- loved Union Rags when he was racing, and
it would be a great story if the one-eyed wonder was victorious.

Re: Belmont picks?
With all the stuff going on, I think that I'd pick Tapwrit, J Boyz Echo and maybe Meantime.
Re: Belmont picks?
With Twisted Tom at 20-1, I'm going with him! I like his looks and pedigree.
I would be in with Epicharis, also, but his lameness issue is not sounding good...

Epicharis has been scratched. I still like Tapwrit for the win.
Re: Belmont picks?
I'll take a shot with Meantime, maybe they'll leave him alone on the front end? TJ

Re: Belmont picks?
Irish War Cry - for a bit of the Luck of The Irish, his 4th granddam sire, Tambourine by classic distance source Princequillo, won the Irish Derby.
Patch for Belmont pedigree; sired by Belmont winner Union Rags out of dam by Belmont winner AP Indy.
Long Shot: Twisted Tom; dam has the best totally solid Belmont pedigree in the field-- 3 Belmont winners over Class Play which won the CCA Oaks at 12 f.; as for the top I hope Giant's Causeway's proven ability to sire 12 furlong horses comes through. Siberian Summer sired No Hesitation, winner of the 11-furlong Canadian Derby, Skywalker was good for 10-furlongs and Properantes won the 1 3/4 mi. San Juan Capistrano and 12 furlong turf stakes. If the distance ability's there Chad Brown's capable of coaxing it out.

Every time I was interested in a horse, it scratched out....
Now I have to mute the coverage. That female voice is making my ears bleed.
Somebody bet on the gray!

Re: Belmont picks?
Tapwrite just won the Belmont Stakes, in 2 30, It look very impressive to me. He changed paths in the stretch, but I don't think that there was any interference with Irish War Cry.
Re: Belmont picks?
No great 3 yr old's this year, at least so far. Arrogate didn't show up until late last year. It will be interesting to see how many furlongs these Triple Crown horses finish behind Arrogate in the BC Classic.
