Hoovergetthekeys

Postby Heidilady » Tue Jun 07, 2005 1:48 pm

I just got a few stable mail emails out of the blue about Hoovergetthekeys (remember him? won Golden Gate Derby and El Camino Real in 2001) doing works and whatnot so apparently they're trying to get him racing. He's a 7 yo. gelding and I'd thought he was done but apparently not. Kinda the same "oh wow, long time no see" that I had seeing Buckle Down Ben doing a work the other day.

Happy to see he is still with us. Hopefully this time off has lifted his spirits.
He actually has never been the same since his Lone Star race in 2001.

He was my first local horse-hero, even got the conditioner Brian Koriner (what a babe  ) to sign my program when Hoover raced @BM.

Way too true for far too many horses that have raced there. Surface has been re-worked/replaced at least three times since inception - including at least one entire do-over - and it's still not the best surface to race on.

Hope this guy can come back - nice to hear his name again.

I remember that horse, was a very nice performer. If I remember correctly he was on the Derby Trail at one point.
