Saw a video of this horses's run in Dubai last week and it was pretty special to my eye.

I understand that he ran only once in North America last year when he put up the highest Bayer figure for a 2 year old and was promptly acquired by Godolphin. He is entered for the Triple Crown but then sent to Dubai and after his recent win is expected to run in the UAE Derby before any decision is taken on his future. He produced a big speed figure for the facile win last week, I understand that it was the 6th.fastest ever at the distance and he did it effortlessly.

While I understand why his connections want to run him in the Dubai race, this horse should really be shipped right back to the States and aimed at the Blue Grass. He'll learn little where he is. The track conditions at Keeneland would suit this horse and the level of competition would give us all a much clearer indication of his real abilities. As an aside, he's by Forestry which may be one of the reasons why the recent sales at Ocala caused such a commotion.

I hope this colt stays sound and returns to race in the States. If he's as good as I think he could be a real star turn.
