After a liver treatment, she,s now back working better than ever before.
Due to race restrictions in adjunction with the use of medication we have to wait till the last of october for a start. So racing her back in the end of october will be a safe date. Might take a bloodsample for checking, in the week before, on forbidden parts.
The product label says only, wait 10 days before slaughtering and that is not the thing we have in mind.
Maybe she will race on the sandtracks in germany for one or two races this year, her dam did quite well on that surface.

I'm happy to hear that Mellanie's ailment was treatable. I hope she is happy and comfortable and will enjoy her racing again when she begins, as I know she was depressed during her last few races.

The trainer differs her training compared the way before.
She will be working 2 times a week, and be in the pasture for the other days, where she is able to train herself with a couple of companions all fillies taking once and a while a sprint and than a little bit of grazing
a little bit of social contact and so on
Just to secure that she is not overtrained.
Our former racefilly could not handle this method, as she was only running in the pasture for hours a day overtraining herself, she was always very thin.
She needed to be stabled for her rest.
So we are hoping getting Mellanie back in good raceform

Tomorrow, saturday she will be dooiing a sharp breeze and monday the vet will pick up a bloodsample again. We hope to study the results on next friday. Than we are able to take decisions how to go on.

First we know if the livercells has restored there selfs, because of an inflamation earlier this year, or that because of her derbyrun the removal
of waste products from the kidneys has solved.

Either way we hope for the best.
