Ben, she doesn't know she's going against more experienced girls. :P You and the trainer can worry about it :( , because she won't. And she won't know she's getting a weight allowance, just that she's "light on her feet". Have fun and show us your winners picture.

First, Good Luck to Mellanie...

Second, do they show these races anywhere? TVG or HRTV? I'd love to see her run...

No as there is not any interest from a large bunch of people, so I am able to give you an honest description how things fared tomorrow evening.
Racehorses and betting have been down to 25% from that in early 80,s

This was the worst race I ever have seen in my life.
Iam completely disappointed.
She looked awsome well when I saw her in her box. The walkin was good
her walk was good and powerfull. In the paddock looked great and eyecatching.
The race she met again trafficproblems imidiately after the start and after two furlongs from the start she kept in last at a margin. After 4 furlongs she was still last and the margin grow, changing her legs all the time as there was no pace at all in the race.
He should have make ground over there.
Two furlongs from home she was making ground but all of them started to quicken so the result was sixth.
If I did not know the trainer as well as I do, I would taken her home for pet horse.
I am really sick of it. Stupid a.......... d

How disappointing for you! But it always makes me feel ashamed  when I blame the horse for not magically achieving the result I've lined out for her/him :o . Many times there are excuses that come to play, such as injury or impending illness :( . I hope it was just traffic problems, as you say. :?

Henthorn, Iam always looking first to myself the trainer or the jock, when a horse proved to be game.
She was in that race because it was a deep downrated race for her to give her convidence, as she used to race in stakes races in gerrmany which are much and much tougher than this one.
Good thing around she was not stiff at all, she ate very well, when she got a tough race she ate always badly the next morning.
We might race her back next sunday with a late entry for an downrated condition race in germany but we have the time till next thursday for the decision.
Like wise I would not think about racing her so soon again, but she has had not anything else than a work breeze.

Hmm. Had she raced against colts before? That can be intimidating, especially if she got into traffic. Perhaps she will have a better trip next out.

So sorry it didn't work out, Ben. If you can just build up her confidence again I'm sure things will get back on track.

Next sunday she starting in the worchest condition race we could find for.
Having some 4 pds weightsadvantage
Beiing united with a jock (54) who rode her twice to victorie last year, he is very patient with them, and is a little bit to nice but he has extremely good hands.
If this does not works out well, she will be stabled in our neigbourbood
with a trainer who is having standardsbreds.
He is having a number of grasspaddocks, trainings mills, and a 5 furlong trainingtrack for standardbreds, and we are able to give her conditional training at the sideside (sandbeaches) some five miles away.
First place she will be used as a pethorse for the family.
The problem is what I think, everything has to go well for the filly but she meets trafficproblems in the race as well as some other things.
When some thing happens, she refuses to get ahead, and come of the bridle
So it goes either way.
We will see, how this will be unfolded.

She might not go, as her action (stride) was not good enough today in her workout this morning

Sorry to hear that, but it would be better to stay on the safe side and not run her if there's any doubt.
