Motion Approved rolls tomorrow night

Postby henthorn » Fri Nov 17, 2006 6:00 pm

After the thorough beating he received in the tough stakes race last out, his connections have now placed him in an appropriate allowance race on the turf at 1 1/16 mi tomorrow night, Saturday the 18th in the second race at Remington Park, due to race at 6:57 CST. He's #2 in a field of nine with his usual jockey, Curtis Kimes. :D

It sure is fun watching from afar without having to make any decisions or pay any bills. Just like a grandkid! He's the pretty gray gelding in the avatar. He is listed at 8:1, with four ahead of him. The favorite has won his last five races on turf at Remington in a starter series. Looks like plenty of pace for Motion with his stalking style, and for the favorite, a closer.

He looks lovely, at least in microscopic view. I hope he does well.

Motion went off at 8:1 odds and "pace makes the race". Four vied for the lead and then backed out. Motion stalked in fifth, and the deep closer passed them all. Result--2nd place. Favorite won by less than two lengths. At least now we know that Motion is good on turf, as anticipated. :D
