Well, we scratched Rubies out of DE last week, and she's in at the PHA tomorrow instead. MSW, 8.5 panels on the lawn. Big brother Spider knocked off a 3rd place yesterday there, in a 2 other than at a mile on the weeds. Nosed out for place, missed winning by a neck. Yikes. :P

And Baby Sister

Hit the board with a closing 3rd in her first start ever! Jockey had her 6 wide most of the way, but it was a good first experience for her to figure things out. A good time for the heat as well and she came out of it fine.

Shades of Spider

So Rubies wins yesterday, but gets DQ'd to 3rd for coming out in the stretch!
Just like her brother did one year ago in his second start. The siblings are channeling each other....
So at least we know we have a pretty good filly. She did run longer against some saltier pedigrees and more experienced horses yesterday. Came out of it just fine.

Congrats. At least you know she has the ability and hopefully a further win will not be far away.
