Wordplay entered Monday

Postby henthorn » Fri Jun 15, 2007 3:37 pm

My 4yo Alphabet Soup filly named Wordplay is entered for a 5 1/2 furlong maiden special for IA-bred fillies Monday June 18th, Prairie Meadows, Race #1, program and post position #3 of eight. (3:30pm CDT) With the two clunkers she put in last, she won't likely be the favorite this time.

The trainer is treating an old ligament soreness, putting her blinkers back on, trying a new jockey, and returning her to sprint company. Hopefully the combination will return her to favor for the bettors, trainer, and owner!
She's definitely trying our patience, especially when I'm short on cash. The trainer wanted to enter her in easy claiming state-bred company, but I'd rather give her another chance at MSW before losing her. Hopefully I don't rue that decision.

Wish us well! Offers will be considered for racing/broodmare prospect FOR SALE. :?

I wish you luck, the blinkers will keep her concentrating on the job.

Best of luck. I'm sorry to hear you are getting out of the breeding arena, Henthorn. Does this mean you will be severing your connection with the horse business altogether?

Her jockey said she got nervous in traffic and backed out of contention. Hopefully we can put her in easier company and build her confidence.

Hi, so sorry to hear this, sounds however familiar. Did she wear side blinkers? "Can't see backs" as we call them? It helped with our filly.
