Lemonlime

Postby Maven » Wed Jul 18, 2007 7:27 am

So, i've always been superstitious about posting my fillies on the track but after a horrible run by Greenstreet in the Delaware Oaks, what the hell!

Lemonlime has been shipped from Arlington to Colonial and she'll be running in the Virginia Oaks. The distance should be perfect for her since we've always thought a mile was a little short for her.

She's still green but here's hoping she adds a second stakes win to her credit. She's a big longshot (and should be), but she's looking great and is coming into the race well, off a stakes win.

Safe trip, all the luck in the race, and a good return.

I have lost several fillies in long distance truck transport because of stress
etc

She finished 6th of 12. Not the best showing but she could have been worse! She did have to check twice from what I can tell.

She did finish behind two G1 winners, one of which is a champion. So im not too upset. I knew we were putting her in deep.
