She worked last Friday 5F in 104.2B... it was a very nice work, as she showed that she can contain her speed, as per the rider's command. The nicest part was that she did the last 1/8 in 11.2, and galloped out in 13.0 seconds! She'll hopefully be running at Woodbine end of this month, early next month....

Probably a MSW sprint on the poly, to start with. There is a race on the 29th, but she still needs to have her gate work. I know she's bred to go long on the green, but she's fit, she's fast and seems to love the poly. My tentative goal for this year is the Glorious Song stakes on November 18th (7F on the poly).

I'm really wanting to getting her onto the turf, but she's one of those that takes a while to adapt to new things. Since we're not allowed to train on the main turf course, we'll wait until next year to try it (she hopefully have more racing experience and will make the switch easily).

Our DV sprinted the first time he ran, finishing second. Came back a few weeks later on the stretch out and galloped.

Well.... she had a 'strange' workout on Saturday. Went 5F from the gate in 105.0B in company.... she got out of the gate really slow and gave up about 5-7 lengths to her workmate. Within 3/16 of a mile, she caught up and passed him, with the ER on top of her neck! Then, the ER decided that she better wait for the other one, so she started slowing my filly. Well, the horse didn't appreciate that, so she started fighting with the rider and drifted out. The other one caught up and they matched strides for about 50 yards and then she edges away again. By the time to work was done, my filly was 6 lengths ahead for her stablemate... YET they were clocked with the same time (????)

Anyways, not bad.... she be running this month!!!!

Funny......sometimes there's no explaining why they do the things they do:) My boyfriend's been doing our exercising now because it seemed as if perhaps we were speaking greek to the spanish exercise riders! It never went as planned.

It sounds like she's ready though. Good luck!
