Base Commander

Postby Green Hills » Wed Sep 26, 2007 11:56 am

He is entered in the Kentucky Cup Sprint (III) for three-year-olds going six furlongs. He has drawn post position 10 of 11 and will be ridden by Chris DeCarlo.

Oh boy...and I'm going to go and see him run this time.

We are going over with a gang in a limo to see Street Sense and Hard Spun (after watching my Skip Away work out in the morning). We have seats reserved on the 5th floor. Maybe we can meet up, I'd love to cheer your horse on!

Thanks. When we saw him closing and when he reached them at the line...we thought he had it...had it been a couple of strides further...we would have had it...however...it wasn't and we didn't...but we are very proud of him. The fractions were not slow...so he did show us something.

Thanks. He literally lost by one step...maybe next time he'll get there one step sooner...

We are proud of him and we are sure he has plenty of good stuff ahead of him.

His dam was out of the ordinary in GB TF 113 as a three year old.
Dam had kneeaction. She needed some juice in the ground.

Yep...and his sire is Officer...which speaks for itself...not too bad a combo, huh?

Base Commander loves the poly...he does carry his head a little high...but he sure can rocket when necessary...let's just hope in his next race he rockets a few steps sooner...and spares me the heart attack...
